How it all Started....
I love hands-on activities, really anything art related. So when a friend asked if I wanted to take a pottery class I ofcourse said Yes! Sadly my friend only took one class, but I was so intrigued that I just kept taking more and more classes. My first class was in 2004 with Judy Tryon and I continued taking classes on and off with her for the next 15 years.

I took a few breaks from pottery to raise my babies and spend quality time with my growing new family. But when I decided to revisit pottery again in 2017, I discovered the flames of intrigue were still just as hot! So I jumped in, took as many classes as I could from Judy until she was no longer able to offer classes. I then transitioned into teaching classes at The Saskatoon Potters Guild and at Saskatoon Clayworks for the next 3 years. In 2021 I decided it was time to focus on my own craft and production work and started selling at Clay Studio Three in Saskatoon as well as Wolf Willow Winery near Outlook, Sk.

In 2022 I built a home studio on my acreage just south of Saskatoon where I am currently working on defining my own style and developing my studio rhythm. I primarily enjoy making functional ware, but occasionally dive into creating unique urns, one of kind vases and seasonal gifts. So far 2024 has been an exciting year! I was invited to showcase my ceramics at the Black Spruce Gallery, hosted my first pottery class in my home studio, and am now a Juried Member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council.
What I love most about pottery is how dynamic it is, in that it's only limitations are those of my imagination! It's also not lost on me that humans have a long history with ceramics and how it has evolved over thousands of years, but has also remained very much the same.

I would like to thank my friends, family and ceramics community for their continued support and encouragement!
